The Waterberg Biosphere
Situated amidst the towering Waterberg Mountains in the Limpopo Province, the Waterberg Biosphere acts as a vital water source for the region. Its rugged beauty showcases low-lying mountain ranges, dramatic escarpments, and a network of streams, rivers, and lakes.
It is home to South Africa’s first-ever savannah biosphere reserve and many other nature reserves that provide a protected habitat for wildlife. Visitors can relax in natural hot springs, discover the ancient World Heritage-listed archaeological site in Makapans Valley, and view abundant birdlife at the Nylsvley Wetlands.

March in this region, similar to Kruger National Park, features a transition from summer to winter. Expect warm days with highs around 32°C and cooler nights dropping to 16°C. Though rainfall decreases in March, afternoon showers are still possible.
For your safari in Manyeleti, pack lightweight, breathable clothing for warm days, along with a light rain jacket and a warm layer for cooler evenings and mornings. Don't forget essentials like swimwear, comfortable walking shoes, a hat, sunglasses, and insect repellent.
Remember that the weather can be unpredictable, so layering your clothing is crucial for adapting to temperature changes throughout the day.
